Have a wonderful winter hen weekend in Budapest
Winter is coming and if you’re planning your hen weekend in Budapest during these colder months you might be a little worried about finding things to do. Fear not though because Budapest is alive 365 days of the year and just because it’s a little bit nippy outdoors doesn’t mean people have any less fun.
Let us tell you what you can get up to:
Get your skates on
Budapest is famed for having Europe’s largest ice skating rink and unless you’ve got yourself two left feet we very much recommend a trip – it’s a festive favourite for all Hungarians living in Budapest.
Your guide will take you down there and sort out 1 hour ticket and ice skate rental for you. She’ll also send over a mug of mulled wine to warm you up – or a beer if you prefer.
Then it’s over to you to whirl and twirl your way around, or just do your best to stay upright… whatever makes for the best photos we say!
Make it a market day
Come to Budapest in December and you’ll find the many squares of the city alive with the most wonderful Christmas markets. You might think you’ve seen it all in Germany but come here and you’ll be blown away.
Your guide will lead you on a tour of the best pointing out some firm local edible favourites including piping hot goulash, mulled wine (you’ll get one for free and you can even keep the mug as souvenir) and chimney cake.
And what’s more, with some many different craft stalls around… you’ll be able to get some of that all important Xmas shopping done early. Marvelous!
Cook up a treat!
It’s cold outside so we suggest you stay inside and instead cook yourself up a Hungarian treat for dinner. That’s right, let us arrange you a cooking class and you’ll get to learn the secrets behind mommas favourites dishes and have something to impress the family with when you’re back home.
Over the course of 3 hours you’ll work with a top English-speaking chef in a luxurious downtown studio kitchen going through a delicious 3 course meal. There will be a glass of bubbly at the start to loosen you up and expert instruction all the way through.
Then once you’re done, of course you’ll get to tuck in – and we’ll throw in a few bottles of wine to wash it all down!
