Budapest Hen Weekend Do’s and Don’t’s
So you’re going on a fabulous Budapest hen weekend with your besties, it’s always useful to be reminded of the right and wrong ways to celebrate such a special occasion. Nobody wants to upset the bride on her one and only (hopefully) hen do, do they? Let’s take a gander at some of the faux pas and ensure that the weekend goes smoothly…
Make sure the activities are appropriate for everyone
There’s nothing worse than the sight of the bride’s mother being grinded by a male stripper and she’s batting him away with her handbag, screaming ‘Assault!’ Make sure all parties are up for such shenanigans!
Plan well in advance to prevent disappointment
Don’t assume that someone else has organised everything. Book your activities, accommodation and transport and get confirmation. Leaving things to the last minute means that the bride may not get to enjoy her special weekend the way she wants it, nobody wants that.
Remember it’s for the bride!
This isn’t for anyone else except for the girl of the moment. What she wants, she gets. Ask her for her ideal Budapest hen weekend and make sure she gets it!
Budget for everyone
Not everyone will be able to afford to spend hundreds of pounds, so bear in mind those on a tight budget. Cost activities, accommodation etc. and ensure the information gets given to all those invited, so that people can agree or disagree. Otherwise you run the risk of people dropping out.
Invite people the bride isn’t keen on
Obviously! She wants all her besties there and people she can let her hair down with. Check if you should ask in-laws before inviting them, not everybody gets along.
Post everything on Facebook!
Certainly the bride isn’t going to want photos of her lap dancing with a total stranger or grinning drunkenly with sick on her chin, plastered all over social media. Keep those pics for yourselves, have some dignity!
Forget the little things
Putting together some survival kits for hangovers or cute goody bags gives your Budapest hen weekend a touch of class. The bride will really appreciate a few pick-me-ups for the morning after, or maybe a new lippy for the big night out!
Book the hen do too near to the wedding
Nobody wants to go to the wedding feeling like a pile of poo! Ensure that the Budapest hen weekend is weeks before, giving everyone a chance to get over their hangover and look their very best for the big day.
